![]() I'm almost certain that the dealer would not have budged much from the MSRP, at least nothing close to what I saved had I not used the plan.Īdditionally, I specifically wanted a Lariat S/Cab 4x2 and nothing else, between the 3 dealers here there were just 8 S/Cabs, available, with possibly 5 or more on order. Matter of fact, my salesperson found 2 of them which I did not personally find online, I certainly did not argue with him as to where he discovered them.īeing that my 2020 was special ordered, the X-Plan route seemed like a no-brainer. Indeed, I did qualify for several rebates/discounts at the time of sale, you didn't? More importantly it's your personal knowledge of how the plan works. Your perception of a rip-off is dependent on who is providing your these figures and if they know what they are doing. No person in his right mind is ever going to pay MSRP for a Ranger, a Rolls-Royce perhaps, but certainly not a truck. Out the door meaning minus any applicable rebates/incentives available at the time of sale, but including all local and State fees/taxes. My 2020 Lariat's MSRP was $38,845, using the X-Plan I paid $35,650 out the door. There are way too many details to explain here without self-education. You really need to visit Ford's X-Plan website to educate yourself about the terms and conditions of the plan. X-Plan pricing is based off the invoice cost of the vehicle, and NOT MSRP. What does MSRP/base price mean? Is that the actual MSRP of the vehicle? Who is it that you emailed and got those figures from? ![]() That price seems too high.įirst off, are you X-Plan qualified? Do you have a PIN yet? NOTE: I wouldn't pay that for the bottom truck anyways. The X-Plan looks like a rip-off if I can get what is basically the same exact truck in a different color with dealer added accessories for almost $200.00 less! Am I missing something here? "Good to Go Package" (floor mats, tinted windows, bed cover) +1,777.00 I looked at basically the same Ranger XL FX4 in a different color at a different dealership with some accessories added on, WITHOUT X-PLAN PRICING, and this is how it broke down: This is what I was emailed back with:įorgive me if I'm wrong, I've always heard from folks that X-Plan pricing is a pretty good deal and is better than what you can get at any dealership with their incentives and sales prices. I emailed and asked for the X-Plan pricing plus any applicable incentives. I've been looking at a Ranger XL FX4 online that I like that has a MSRP of $36,710.

![]() ![]() Before any run you appoint a leader to your clan, who comes with a passive bonus and an ability you can activate on a cooldown. I have tried to get around this monstrous onslaught of fatal rammening many times, and thankfully there are a lot of ways to experiment. Soon after that the huge ogre mutants bring battering rams. Then, as you pass wave 20, you start seeing clusters of huge ogre mutants. There are attack cards that you can play directly on enemies, and one of the most satisfying and yet unnecessary moves you can make is to play a chain lightning card on these poor muckers. In the beginning you’re charged by tiny diseased enemies, easily picked off by your mighty rat archers. I tend to make it to about wave 20-ish, which is around when the waves suddenly become brutal. You can knock down buildings and replay them using certain building cards, but it’s time consuming, expensive, and takes those buildings offline - rarely a worthwhile sacrifice. This raises dilemmas a dozen or so waves in, though, when space there is low or non-existant. Ideally, you want your best buildings close to your hub, because that puts them behind more defensive walls. Some buildings take up more space but come with powerful abilities - I like the Scrapyard, which you can use to ditch unplayable Scrap cards from your hand - and naturally the confined space in your territory forces you to pick buildings with the functionality to support your deck. These are the simplest buildings you can buy, and essentially convert gold into Ratizen resource at the expense of space in your base. Ratizen colonists are needed to support any plans, though, and they need houses. I feel busy, but have enough time to start building my deck towards a particular style of play. It all takes place under that constant, mutant-driven time pressure, and for me the game is just stressful enough to be fun. "It all takes place under constant time pressure, and for me the game is just stressful enough to be fun." ![]() But before any of that you want to play the Pottery card you drew, because that gives you 10 gold for any card of any sort in your hand. Cheese cards give you 30 gold for every one in your hand, and you always draw a few - but the developers Cassel Games have also set a mousetrap, because if you’re too hasty when you’re clicking around you might accidentally play the final Cheese card for a gold loss. You quickly learn that playing efficiently means playing the right cards in the right order, and sometimes not playing certain cards at all. Your cards are also the basis of your economy at the start of a run. Efficient, quick use of these cards is essential, because they let you deploy forces to your left and right fronts, unleash special attacks, construct new buildings, upgrade your settlement - which is spread across a 2D plane - and build new defensive walls farther from your town. When the game starts you draw a hand from a deck of cards, and can draw more on a cooldown timer. Oh, and it’s a base-builder, and a tactical attritional survival game like Plants Vs. You’re clicking on to order guard rats around, you’re clicking on chests enemies have dropped, and you’re also clicking on cards, because Ratropolis is a deckbuilder too. At its most frenetic moments, Ratropolis becomes closer to a clicker game. Want to visit the market? An icon will sometimes appear in your base and linger for 30 seconds or so if you miss it you just have to wait for it to come around again. As you’re building defensive walls and placing troops, the clock never stops. If they trash your central base building, it’s all over. Sadly, they are attacked every few minutes by waves of deadly and annoyingly punctual mutants. Historically much maligned as a species, all the cute little Redwall-esqe critters want to do in Ratropolis is build beautiful cathedrals and a functioning society. On paper Ratropolis ought to be a mess, but only difficulty tuning and a few clashing ideas hold it back from greatness. An absorbing hybrid of deckbuilding, basebuilding, and tower defense against the clock. ![]() And by making its pitch to big names with big followings, Substack had multiple enthusiastic audiences at the ready – the marketing is built-in. The history of PNH is an inspirational reminder of the elegant complexity of nature, the rewards of curiosity and the power and beauty of science. The mysteries of PNH have been solved in a particularly satisfying way because the precision and orderliness of the solutions made clearly understandable what had seemed at the times prior to resolution to be problems of nearly insurmountable complexity. Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) is a chronic, multi-systemic, progressive and life-threatening disease characterized by intravascular hemolysis, thrombotic events, serious infections and bone marrow failure.1, 2 Hemolysis in PNH is due to the action of the complement on abnormal red blood cells (RBCs). The median age of diagnosis of our patients is 46 (range 984), without sex preponderance. Investigation of the intricate pathophysiology that underlies the abnormal sensitivity of PNH erythrocytes to hemolysis in acidified serum produced a number of remarkable scientific achievements that involved discovery of the alternative pathway of complement, identification of the membrane proteins that regulate complement, discovery of a novel mechanism for attachment of proteins to the cell surface, and identification of the genetic basis of the disease. Results As a part of an international prospective, non-interventional, observational registration trial of PNH, we have analyzed 63 patients recruited between 20 in Taiwan, with comparison to the 3857 patients in the rest of the world (ROW). Curiosity about the etiology of the nocturnal aspects of the hemoglobinuria led the German physician Paul Strübing to develop the prescient hypothesis that the erythrocytes of PNH are abnormally sensitive to hemolysis when the plasma is acidified during sleep because of accumulation of carbon dioxide and lactic acid as a result of slowing of the circulation. ![]() The clinical hallmark of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) is episodic hemoglobinuria, and it was this feature that captured the attention of European physicians in the latter half of the 19th century, resulting in careful observational studies that established PNH as an entity distinct from paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria and march hemoglobinuria. Paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria (PCH) is a rare type of anemia characterized by the premature destruction of healthy red blood cells by autoantibodies.
